General Terms & Conditions for Cabs Car Rental in Namibia:

1) All vehicles are hired subject to the CABS CAR HIRE NAMIBIA Terms & Conditions as per reverse side of Rental Agreement of the appropriate car rental company.

2) Renter must be a minimum of 23 years of age and in possession of a valid, unendorsed driver's license. Drivers between 18 and 22 years of age are subject to a young drivers' surcharge of N$120-00/Day. Additional drivers can be amended to the Rental Agreement at a cost of N$ 50-00 per person per rental.

3) All rates quoted are guaranteed. Rental Rates include Value Added Tax (15%) and Collision & Theft Insurance but exclude daily Reduced Excess Waiver, Excess Kilometer Charges where applicable and Glass & Tyre Damage Waiver. Insurance excludes glass, tyres, sandblasting, headlamps & indicator lenses and personal property. Glass & tyres can be insured at 100% cover at the applicable daily rate projected in the rates sheet/brochure.

4) All vehicles are comprehensively insured. However, in the event of an insurance claim arising from an accident or damage inflicted to the vehicle, the renter will be held liable for the excess amount as stated on the Rental Agreement. This amount will be reserved on the credit card of the renter in favor of the lessor, prior to commencement of the rental period and by credit card only. The amount authorized will be released on return of the vehicle providing that the lessor found the vehicle to be in an undamaged condition and fully refueled. The full rental amount will be payable prior to commencement of rental.

5) Any damage inflicted to the vehicle or accident occurring in excess of 80kms/hour on gravel roads, 60kms/hour within city limits and in excess of 120 kms/hour on sealed roads or any other circumstance outside the traffic laws of the applicable authority, will not be covered by the car rental company's insurance policy. In the event of an accident, the renter will be liable for the recovery cost of the vehicle as well as an accident admin fee of N$ 350-00.

6) Any additional equipment or camping equipment is not covered by the insurance

7) Rental periods are calculated from time of pick-up to time of drop-off as recorded and agreed to as per Rental Agreement. Minimum rental period is 24Hrs.

8) One way rentals must be arranged for at time of reservation.

9) All rates are subject to change without prior notice

10) CABS CAR HIRE NAMIBIA reserves itself the right to substitute the reserved brand (e.g. Nissan) with a vehicle featuring exactly the same specifications (e.g. Toyota) should the booked vehicle not be available for reasons beyond the control of the lessor at the day of rental.

11) Vehicles may not enter into neighboring countries without the required documentation and the written consent of CABS CAR HIRE NAMIBIA. A cross border fee of N$420-00 is applicable to all vehicles crossing the border into neighboring countries.

12) Relocation fees are applicable where the vehicle is required to be rented from a location other than the appropriate car rental company's offices. A delivery and/or collection fee of N$4-90/km will be applicable and calculated from the offices of the car rental company in Windhoek in the event of a delivery or collection being requested at locations other than projected under “Relocation Fees”.
